The term “Countering Violent Extremism,” or CVE, refers to proactive actions to counter efforts by extremists to recruit, radicalize, and mobilize followers to violence. This project consists of a literature review and analysis of the research concerning countering violent extremism. The project includes infographics on topics related to terrorism in the contemporary world that demonstrate the complexity of understanding violent extremism and also strategies to counter violent extremism. It covers the causes of extreme behavior including social, economic, religious, ideological, racial, and ethnic. Asocial media campaign has been initiated to build awareness about radicalized attitudes, extreme behaviors, and violent activities by individuals as well as societies. The project follows the definition of Violent Extremism, types of Extremist Groups, and causes of Extreme behavior.
