25 June 2019: “Over the period of 70 years Pakistan and Philippines have enjoyed resilient ties and cooperation in economic, political and defence sector” said H.E Daniel Ramos Espiritu, Ambassador of Republic of Philippines to Pakistan. Ambassador was addressing a guest talk on “70 Year of Diplomatic Relations between Pakistan and Philippines: Prospects of Future Cooperation” organized by Centre for Peace, Security, and Developmental Studies (CPSD), a Karachi based public policy think-tank.

The Centre for Peace, Security and Developmental Studies (CPSD) held a meetup with Diplomatic Mission of the European Union in Islamabad on 3rd April 2019. Mr. Umer Khan, Executive Director of CPSD introduced the organization to His Excellency JeanFrançois Cautain, the EU Ambassador to Pakistan, and other key ambassadors of European Countries. The diplomats were impressed by CPSD’s previous and upcoming projects. The Minister of State for Interior, Mr. Shehryar Khan Afridi, was also present during the meetup. He enlightened the EU mission about the trade and tourism initiatives by the incumbent government, highlighting the new visa liberalization policy. His Excellency JeanFrançois Cautain praised the efforts by CPSD. He held that Sindh being an important province of Pakistan needs more policy research institutes like CPSD to project the positive picture of Karachi and Pakistan.
